August 22nd, 2026: Interviews of Lily De Taeye & Saint Silver

During the 5:00pm hour we featured LILY DE TAEYE singer/songwriter originally

from Des Moines. We opened up her interview introducing the listeners to, “All The

Way Down” one of her new songs that was released on Friday the 21st. She graduated

from the University of Iowa in 2019 and moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2023. In the

winter of 2023 She wrote the song “Maybe it's November”. This song is my absolute

favorite! She is such a lovely soul and I hope Frank and I get to meet her in the near

future. Lily’s career is growing by leaps and bounds as she works with her band of

musicians from the Des Moines area. We were able to visit with her during her time at

the Iowa State Fair. Her trip back to Iowa was partly pleasure (with family and friends)

and to practice with the band getting ready for their East Coast tour! Lily sells

merchandise at her shows, available on vinyl and CDs. October 23rd of this year, she

will be releasing her third album! We ended the show playing her song “Metal, Metal”.

During the 6:00 hour we featured the talented and super fun band SAINT SILVER

from Iowa City. Band members include James Goodrich (bass), Andrew Dawson (keys and vocals), Shannon Gillette (percussion), Aimee Underwood (vocals) and Derek Perez (guitar and vocals). The only one who couldn’t make it was Pat Eastland (drums). I was very excited to play Derek’s song he wrote called “One Winged Crow” and then I introduced the band. Afterwards I realized, they were the last guests January 31st, before the show went on hiatus for a month until it was sold back to the former owner, Rick Sellers. I'm also happy to announce that Derek, also owner of the Black Angel Restaurant and Bar is sponsoring the Corridor Blend Radio and Podcast Segment for the month of September. The band has been together for 3 to 4 years now and enjoy the friendships that it's formed. While in the studio they performed another song of Derek's called “Elliot Smith”. He has a great voice! Aimee got to show off her voice with Derek harmonizing on a song called “They Love Each Other”. They sounded great together too. Todd came with me so he could visit with his buddy, James! Todd is the one who recommended I do an interview with James and the band at the end of last year and we were able to make the January 31st date happen. I'm really glad he did, because these guys are a great bunch of musicians and really down to earth! October 26th they'll be playing at The Black Angel in Iowa City.
