June 27th, 2026: The Boys & Wonderful Smiths Interviews

During the 5:00pm hour we featured Adam Klett and Jake Burington who

represented their band, THE BOYS! They came all the way from Southeast Iowa to

play at the Trek Fest in Riverside. First, they set up their equipment there and then

headed up to the Classic KMRY 93.1FM / 1450 AM studio for their interview on my

Corridor Blend segment. I opened up the hour having Frank play their original called

“Where Did The Weekend Go?”, followed by “Just The Tip” and the last song called,

During the 6:00 hour we featured three members of the band, WONDERFUL

SMITHS, they formed in 2000. Joining us in the studio were... Adam, Nate and Drew. The

band is from the Cedar Rapids/Marion area and formed during the pandemic in 2020. They popped into the Classic KMRY 93.1FM / 1450 AM studio, shared their stories, musical journey and their awesome music.

We opened the show with Frank playing “West Coast Turnaround” followed by an original called “Walk Back” and then “Paper Savior” another original. Huge thanks to Juanita Eiben for recommending them!
