October 10th, 2026: Interviews of KAT BLUE & THE TRUE BELIEVERS & DEB KENNEDY

What a fantastic first-year celebration… Corridor Blend is still going strong! Looking back in the rearview mirror, I've had 75 of the most incredibly talented Solo Artists, Duo’s, Trio’s, Musicians and Bands in our small but awesome radio station studio and over the phone! Frank does a fantastic job of fitting, or maybe I should say squeezing, up to five piece bands around the limited space and equipment we have to work with! I don't know what I’d do without his GENIUS!

We opened the show with, “Never Been Rocked Enough”, an original by KAT BLUE & THE TRUE BELIEVERS. They joined us in the 5:00 hour to promote their upcoming event. THE THIRD ANNUAL SOUTHSIDE BLUES FESTIVAL… this coming Saturday, October 17th at the Veterans Coliseum. Three bands performing in one night, starting at 5:30 pm! Four of the six band members made it in. They were, BOB GLEASON playing harmonica, BOB SULZER on guitar, DOUG ALLEMANG playing box drum, and the lovey KAT BLUE singing her heart out on the song Doug wrote called, “These Iowa Blues”. What an honor to be the first to play their newly recorded project, (not yet released), with our Corridor Blend listeners here at Classic KMRY. The second song they played live was a song written by KAT BLUE, “Hard Times, Hard Liquor”. Follow the band on Facebook and get your tickets to the third annual Southside Blues festival, you won't want to miss the dynamite lineup with, JENI GROUWS, DUKE TUMATOE and KAT BLUE & THE TRUE BELIEVERS.

The party continued with my first guest who joined me one year ago.... JUANITA EIBEN. Also guest starring tonight on this special edition was TODD YOUNG! We kicked off the show playing a song that we played one year ago on Saturday, October 11th, CRAIG ERICSON – “Public Eye”. Other songs from one year ago included, DIPLOMATS OF SOLID SOUND – “Hole in Your Soul”, and AWFUL PURDIES – “Something in the Water”.

From 5:30 to 6:30 we played requests from our listeners. They were from (in no particular order) the following... THE SURF ZOMBIES – “Hammerhead”, request from Todd Young. JESSICA MAR – “Follow The Feel Good”, request from Pam Walsh-Jones. MADDIE POPPE – “Not Losing You”, request from Kristi Dudley. GREG BROWN – “Treat Each Other Right” request from Tom Bone & Sharon Myers Smith. AIRYN DUFFY – “Firebird” request from Marcia Ohr. DENNY & BERNIE DUO – “Ventura Highway” request from Gayle & Chuck Warren. SCOTT DL – “New Normal”, request from Jessica Weimer. MEGA DESTROYER – “Parachutes” request from Kevin Dudley. And finally a surprise request from Deb Van Dolah… for me to sing live in the studio…”Unchained Melody”!

That wasn't the only live performance! We managed to fit all of the guests (that came to help celebrate) which included, Jessica Weimer, Kat Blue & The True Believers (4of them!), Donna Robillard Ivanoski, Kim Balvanz, Juanita Eiben and Todd Young into the studio to sing “Happy Birthday” to my producer, Frankie B! It was a beautifully sung rendition with harmonies, none can beat at the end of the song!

The party continued out in the lobby while I interviewed my last guest of the 100th segment of CORRIDOR BLEND! The multi-award-winning Branson entertainer DOUG GABRIEL joining us by phone, and the lovely DEBORAH KENNEDY of TKM THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS, joining us in the studio to promote DOUG GABRIEL’S award-winning Branson Family Show coming to the Amana Performing Arts Center November 7th and 8th. We played a song written by Doug in his earlier years titled, “Before You Had Him, You Had Me”, followed by his rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, and ending with him playing “Malaquena”. For ticket information on the show, go to TKM THEATRICAL Productions or the Amana Performing Arts Center page on Facebook and get details… tickets are selling out fast!

*THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS FIRST YEAR OF CORRIDOR BLEND A MEMORABLE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT! LET'S CONTINUE THE MOMENTUM!
