April 11th, 2026: Awful Purdies and Lena Adams in Studio!

The April 11th - 5:00 p.m. segment featured Nicole Upchurch and Marcy Rosenbaum representing the AWFUL PURDIES, an all female Folk - American band from Iowa city. We learned what instruments each member plays and the other projects each of the five gals perform in. The five bandmates are celebrating 20 years together this year. Don't miss celebrating with them, I guarantee you'll love their harmonies! We played “Mason Jar”, “The Great Unraveling” and “Something in the Water”. In the 6:00 hour Corridor blend featured Lena Adams in the studio! LENA ADAMS is a super talented 26-year-old from Washington, Iowa. We played her original song called, “Music Deputy” for our listeners to enjoy. She surprised her fans and all of us with her pre-released single, “Run Run Johnny”!

At the end of the interview, Lena finished up with one of her Patsy Cline tribute songs called, “Turn the Cards Slowly”.  She'll be performing her Patsy Cline Tribute show on Friday, April 17th at the Historic Victorian View Mansion in Washington, Iowa, beginning at 7:30pm.
